It wont come...ksrtc.com sucks.....official website is worst......

Please come and join together to help KSRTC to make this venture successful. People are not resorting to KSRTC is because there are lack of information. Passengers will be there if busses are there on scheduled time and information passess on to them. KSRTC can have tie up with BSNL and also adopt systems that are in Indian Railways.

Why there is much delay in introducing online reservation ?

What is the problem with KSRTC even the private players like "Kallada" introduced online booking?

Worst thing is, even the computer terminals in the two bus stations in Bangalore are not connected.

It is sure that if we introduce online reservation the revenues from services between Bangalore and Kerala will increase sharply.

The private players and Karnataka RTC are able to get customers only due to their telephone booking and online booking facilities.

Its high time for KSRTC to understand these facts and act immediately.

KSRTC is introducing an online reservation portal. It is online, and advanced stages of trial is in progress. See the site here:

KSRTC never improves.First of all its main function and prority should be to run buses at the scheduled timings and to have appropriate facilties incase of break downs and back up facilities to ensure both. All these are there, but on paper.KSRTC is run not for this purpose, it is made to run for the sake of its 25000 emloyees who belong to various trade unions and the politicians get huge revenue from these members. Every year KSRTC makes loss around 15 crores that gets accumulated and kerala govt from its income disburses for these losses ,the amount which should have been utilised for the development projects for the welfare of its people. It should have sold all its assets and made cooperative societies among its employees to run more efficiently to perform the main function.Instead ,they are building complexes on their precious land on BOT basis for income for survival. But we know from experience that these will end in bringing further very heavy liabilities only. Build shopping complex and run to make up for losses of KSRTC- great theory n idea indeed.

KSRTC have linked 17 major bus stations in Kerala , Karnataka and Tamilnadu online.
Now we can book tickets between any destinations from these stations .
The stations are Trivandrum, Kollam, Kottarakkara, Thiruvalla ,Chenganassery, Kottayam, Moovattupuzha , Ernakulam ,Thrissur , Palakkad , Kozhikkode ,Sulthan Bathery ,Kannur, Kasargode, Coimbatore, Mysore and Bangalore.

Kudos KSRTC !

Online Booking for KSRTC is never going to come i guess.. Its very difficult to reach Majestic to book ticket. Look at Karnataka Transport. How easily we are able to book tickets in that... . Just because of that during the working day also its almost full. Only if people are getting ticket in Karnataka RTC then people are going to Kerala RTC. Kerala Transport Corporation is never going to learn... Even though the buses are good. Its always going to be treated as 2nd grade/ 2nd Option...

can some one tell, when the online reservartion will be avilable for normal users!! is it delaying because of helping private operators?? if the web designing gives to CDIT or CDAC they will come up with in a month. why our government is delaying ??

Anonymous said...

Please start online reservation in KSRTC at the earliest. Otherwise get tie up with RedBus or some other sites.

Yes if KSRTC can't arrange online reservation for their buses by their own, atleast they can tie up with redbus or other sites like that to enable passengers to book tickets online.APSRTC is having that provision it seems.

we cant say it as a website. its a blog. even the website domain in the other pages shows ksrtc.tk, .tk is a free domain!! its funny that we all keralites are proud about our literacy and techi. even the karnataka is having a website of their own and online booking too. when our people and department of transport will wake up?

Ragesh said...

Infact it is a matter of lack of initiative from officials of KSRTC. They don't want their office to be modernised. Let them learn from railways. There are lot of opportunities. As far as the site is concerned, at least they can contact NIC.I think polititians like Ganesh Kumar or so should come back

Could you please publish the bus timings of Kerala srtc towards Kerala from Mysore.

I understand KSRTC has opened few reservation centres but that's not enough... In this high-tec world we would like to see KSRTC coming with online reservation facilities which will make ones life easy and comfortable to book tickets. I would recommend all to travel by KSRTC bus than private buses (like Kallada, Shama, No.1 etc) because its comfortable to travel, morever private run buses are damn risky to travel as I have experienced insect bites (popularly known in kerala as "Moota") and one will scratch their skin out until you get down from such buses. Believe me its horrible to travel in private buses especially the ones which starts from Bangalore (Madiwala) to Kerala. Even if you complain this to driver, conductor or to the management they side line and talk non-sense. On top of all this private buses charge a bomb which is alarming. In simple terms they loot people and harass them by making them sit in such buses which is shabby, filthy, tough for anyone to even sit and rest their heads. The moment when driver switch off the lights this so called Moota (tiny insects) come out to bite you and like i said you will scratch your whole body till death... Not advised to travel in any private buses please

Sujith Bhakthan TR earlier said .. KSRTC is introducing online reservation portal - http://59.93.43.100:8080/KsrtcOnlineR/#

This one as usual doesn't help us book tickets nor provide additional information because this portal is still under construction! Until then we got to postpone our travel and wait for KSRTC to develop an online booking mechanism which they have failed to come up with in this age..

I would suggest - KRAN Consulting who is designing Saarathi portal to visit http://www.irctc.co.in/ just to help you understand as to how effectively one could develop an online booking portal.

Please help/allow fellow citizens travel comfortably and peacefully!

By travelling in private run buses, I am sure one would end up having skin allergies due to insect bites. I would urge each one of you not to travel by Kallada, Shama, No.1, Friends and name it .. Please please its horrible, dangerous and highly NOT recommended!

I felt like commiting suicide when i had undergone such an experience. Those of you who have faced such horrendous experience please share with rest of the world.

If the come up with online fascility, My first preference will be KSRTC for going to Kerala. I dont think redbus or makemytrip will agree to have KSRTC as there client due to the schedule issue. If KSRTC is unable to provide service in time the name of the sites only will get spoil. So KSRTC should improve in timings(at least in departure), and backup incase of breakdown.

Mathew said...

I think there should be some mechanism for regulating these private buses. I am an unfortunate client of private buses, who got my house in Bangalore infested with these so called 'mootas'. The sad thing is that it is very difficult(close to impossible) to get rid of these damn insects, even after two rounds of pesticide spraying..
And yes, I believe Kerala SRTC should come up with more schedules of Volvo and non AC buses like private buses(not the deluxe buses). Only once the monopoly of private buses end, we can get quality service for the money we spend. KSRTC need to reduce their running time also.

First I congrats Kran Consulting for developing this site.It is a great opportunity to help the people to booking the ticket from any where.

Sadath said...

A lot of people especially the IT savvy group from kerala in will always prefer Kerala SRTC buses for their travel... What I have experienced is, Kerala SRTC have some good service to Bangalore from many depots in kerala. The only drawback why people move away from them is due to the lack of online reservation facility; and karnataka srtc & private buses are taking full advantage of this. Once online reservations are introduced, everyone will switch to kerala buses for their economic and comfort travel. THe website has been showing ' Online reservations coming shortly' from the past two and half years... which cannot be justified in any manner...Such things just give opportunities to others... and we will lag behind.....we should learn from KA SRTC how they operate profitably..... Its high time the kerala authorities learn from their neighbours...

Most Unprofessionally developed site I have ever seen. How could they put it online even before it is complete & fully functional. This shows how much the gov is interested in running this business. "They simply don't Care"

Anonymous said...

Never expect anything from this gov. They don't have time to govern. Think, these are the same people who are trying to bring IT revolution ( Smart City )in state. Nothing happened rather than a foundation stone been laid.

inqulab inqulab zindabad bloody bcoz of this we cannot survive in kerala and there is no upgradation for the booking and buses.

I will share One of my Experience with Private buss,

Since I am staying in madivala , its easy to book Kallada, So i booked kallada bus to thrissur.( 2nd seat from friend ).I booked it 5 days before. but i got only Guruvayoor bus....

I had started started the journey by 8:45 PM from madivala. I got a nice friend who is sitting in next seat.

After few minute he told me that something is running inside my shirt. I told it may be your feeling .. leave that....

After few minutes me too felt same thing... And he told something is bitting him... So we checked in the seat..

We got afraid off by seeing that.. Full off insects ( MOOTA ) ... Not one or two ... Full moota in both seats..

We told the Bus driver. he told he cant do any thing, he already informed the office about the same, they may not be sprayed medicine... Here one office is there if you want you go and tell them. I cant Do anything...

We went to the office and told we cant able to sit in the bus bcz its contain full of moota.. We need another bus..He told all the buss are full so we cant do anything.

So we told that we cant travel in this, We had booked the ticket one week before coming. So we need another bus.If there is no seat in kallada means you should arrange the seat in another bus(shama/No 1 or anything)..

He told today is friday all buss are full. By the time one moota is running on hand i show himthat and told... If its one or two hour travel means we can adjust but its long 10 hr travel we cant sit in that...

By the time driver told that in volvo bus two seats are free . So we told ok tell the Volvo driver to stop the bus. we will get in to the bus on the way and if u need we will pay extra money...

By the time that Fu...r is telling that he dont have the no of Volvo bus driver... We told him to call Head office and get the no... but he is not ready to call , if he called means it will be a problem for him.. so i told him that give me that number i will call to Madivala office... I called But they told they dont have hisNO. Then For what Fu..k they are sitting there?????? They told they will check it .. but after that no response...

Time was going... Almost 1.30hrs we stopped that bus near the office ...

So ALL the passangers got down from the bus and came to office bcz they cant sit in bus.. Bcz all seats contain moota...

So we all asked for a spare bus bcZ we have to go today.. Otherwise you should book AC rooms for all . we cant sit 10 hrs with moota biting...

What to tell nothing happened ... they did nt send any spare bus.. we travelled in the same with this moota...What to tell after spending 500 Rs also we have to travel in that MOOTA Kallada bus... Where KSTRC is charging only half of that amount...

This is my Experience from kallada...

You can send me your feed backs & suggestions to

" fazer150cc@gmail.com " Waiting for you replay...

dear friend, help me out? I want to travel from kolkatta to TATA and RANCHI by bus. Is there any bus service which is having online booking and/or Day time schedule?

Attitude tees said...

I want to build an online booking system. It should consist of only days and time slots for my members to place their bookings. I do not require my members to make any payment. How can I go about doing one? Or is there already a template that is for free so I can put it on my website?

Wilson Mookkuthala said...

I am agreeing with Laksmi's comment. The same thing happened to me in the same Guruvayur Kallada Sleeper bus.I booked sleeper berth,But not able to sleep becoz of mootta. Please travel in KSRTC(kerala).Specially A/c and volvo buses.

On line booking is a good step, also KSRTC start courier service, the receivers collect couriers with their identity proof from the bus station after getting call from the station with referance of courier...

Hi,
I am not sure whether this is the fial project they are going to release as the online reservation system. But its full of bugs!!! any way I appreciate KSRTC for this step.

Anup Nair said...

Still we are not able to book online. Is anyone have a luck on this

bilal said...

I tried numerous times and i couldnt go pass the page where the seats are selected. Its a website full of bugs. hope they fixes it soon

Sooraj said...

I feel they started the system just for name sake. They haven't even done the primary testing of the site. We can't book the ticket with this system. This KRAN consulting tells they are simplifying life.. Do you ..? What is your developers/ Testers doing there.? Whether all your projects are like this..? or this is because of a gov organisation.. If KSRTC given this project to some students as a semester project they could have do it better than this...Please fix the bugs at the earliest.

Hi,

I booked my first ticket through online .

There are some false entries in the bus list.
At the time of payment, its showing credit card. But it takes both credit card as well as debit card.I booked my ticket using debit card.

Anup Nair said...

Atlast i was able to book a ticket. Called the call centre they informed we cannot put comma, space or semicolon on the My profile address side. once we remove that it will allow to book the ticket.

Sooraj said...

Thank you Anup for your Information.. Very happy to see its working...

If KSRTC can add approx running time between the station it will be useful for a passenger to plan his journey.

Anup Nair said...

Any idea when rest of the buses which runs to bangalore will be added on this online list as currently we can see lot of buses from kerala to bangalore is missing from the list. eg thiruvalla bangalore, perintelmanna bangalore, guruvayur banglaore. Is there any work going on for this or KRAN or ksrtc have no plan for further enhancement on this website.

If the error "invalid transaction Contact Administrator" appears during 'make payment' in "Saarathi"

Edit your profile and remove the colon, semicolon, slash and quotations in your address and name fields.

I hv succfly bkd 3 tickets and able to select my seat also from the site. Really a good service for public from the part of KSRTC. This site looks very user friendly compared to other online booking facility .

www.keralartc.com is now marked as an attack site. Try to google for KSRTC and you'll see.

Not many routes are listed it seems. Keeping my fingers crossed that it'll stabilize and evolve soon.

KSRTC increased the reservation charge on behalf of online reservation. Now we have to pay extra 30RS (reservation fee 10 + serivce charge 20)per seat in the online reservation system. If they are charging serivce charge 20 per transation it is affordable. But per seat means it is too costly. The cancellation system also changed. If u are cancelling any ticket you will lose min 25%.Before this was 15%.

wilson said...

if I am ticket for a family of 4 people.I have to pay around 120RS as reservation charge. It is equal to half ticket in the SuperDLX bus.So please change the Service charge per transaction instead of seat.
