JNNURM Volvo Bus Involved In Mishap - Thiruvananthapuram

You had feared it. And now it has happened. Just eleven days after the inauguration, one of the eight brand-new Volvo buses has been involved in an accident. Another vehicle rammed into one KSRTC Volvo bus at East Fort on Saturday, cracking two of its window panes.
No one was hurt in the incident. The accident occurred when the Kowdiar-Airport bus was turning to the MG Road from the city bus stand.
Police said another bus, a contract vehicle of the Technopark, hit it on the left side. KSRTC officials present at the accident site said it would cost around Rs 1.5 lakh to replace the panes.
The KSRTC AC Volvo buses rolled out on to the capital city roads on November 17.
