About 300 employees of APSRTC assumed their respective positions in the administrative office of headquarters named after former Chief Minister N.T. Rama Rao which was inaugurated by Mr. Naidu on June 6, thus making RTC the first department to move to the capital region.

The sprawling building, spread over 45, 000 sqft, accommodates more than 500 officers and other staff who were until today working from Bus Bhavan in Hyderabad. Employees and officers of all levels are among those shifted.

APSRTC MD N. Sambasiva Rao, who welcomed the staff, said that they would be provided accommodation and food for one month and would be assisted in finding new homes in the city. He termed the shifting of the entire department to the capital region “a historic moment.”
