കെ എസ് ആർ ടി സിയുടെ ആകെയുള്ള ഒരേയൊരു വോൾവോ സർവ്വീസായ തിരുവനന്തപുരം – ബാംഗ്ലൂർ ഗരുഡ ഇന്ന് ക്യാൻസൽ ചെയ്ത് സിറ്റിയിലോടുന്ന ഒരു ലോ ഫ്ലോർ വോൾവോ ബസ്സെടുത്ത് (JNT 21) ബാംഗ്ലൂർക്ക് വിട്ടു. ഇത്തരത്തിലുള്ള ഒരു ചെറ്റത്തരം കെ എസ് ആർ ടി സിയിലല്ലാതെ വേറെ എവിടെയെങ്കിലും നടക്കുമോ?
ഞായറാഴ്ച്ച ദിവസം, തിരുവനന്തപുരത്ത് നിന്ന് ബാംഗ്ലൂർക്ക് ഫുൾ റിസർവേഷൻ, ഇന്ന് പോകേണ്ടിയിരുന്ന ഗരുഡ വോൾവോ ബസ്സിന് പെട്ടന്നെന്തോ പണിമുടക്ക്, അതുകാരണം യാത്രക്കാരെ പെരുവഴിയിലാക്കണ്ട എന്ന കാരണം പറഞ്ഞ് സിറ്റിയിലോടുന്ന ഒരു ലോ ഫ്ലോർ വോൾവോയെടുത്ത് റിസർവ് ചെയ്ത യാത്രക്കാരെ അതിൽ കയറ്റി ബാംഗ്ലൂർ ബോർഡും വെച്ച് പറഞ്ഞ് വിട്ട് തിരുവനന്തപുരത്തുകാർ തടിതപ്പി.
ടി ബസ്സിൽ റിസർവ്വ് ചെയ്ത ആളുകളെ പാലക്കാട് വരെ കൊണ്ട് പോയി അവിടെ ഇറക്കി, ബാംഗ്ലൂരിൽ നിന്ന് തിരുവനന്തപുരത്തേക്ക് ഇപ്പോൾ വന്നു കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്ന ഗരുഡ വോൾവോ പാലക്കാട് പിടിച്ച് അതിൽ കയറ്റി തിരികെ ബാംഗ്ലൂരിലേക്ക് അയക്കും.
തിരുവനന്തപുരത്തേക്ക് ഇപ്പോൾ വന്നുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്ന ആളുകളെ പാലക്കാട് നിന്ന് തിരുവനന്തപുരത്തേക്ക് ടി ലോ ഫ്ലോർ ബസ്സിൽ കയറ്റി തിരിച്ചും കൊണ്ടുവരും.
പറഞ്ഞ് വരുമ്പോൾ കെ എസ് ആർ ടി സി ഒരു ഫയങ്കര സംഭവം ചെയ്തെന്ന തോന്നലുണ്ടാകുമെങ്കിലും ഇത്തരത്തിലുള്ള ഒരു അവസ്ഥ നേരിടുന്നതിനായി നമുക്കുള്ള ആ സ്പെയർ വണ്ടി ഇപ്പോൾ എവിടെ?

ഇന്ന് ആ ബസ്സിൽ യാത്ര ചെയ്ത ആരെങ്കിലും ഇനി ജീവിതത്തിൽ നമ്മുടെ ഗരുഡയിൽ ടിക്കറ്റ് റിസർവ്വ് ചെയ്യുമോ?

Thank God that JNNURM buses don’t have inter state permits; else, KSRTC would have operated these Volvos to Bangalore, on a regular basis!!
It is funny to note that KSRTC is playing around with buses whose ownership does not rest with them.
As per the scheme, JNNURM buses are to be owned and operated by a SPV formed specifically for this purpose. Since SPV formation was taking time, Kerala government sanctioned registration of JNNURM buses in Nationalised RTA(hence the KL 15 numbering for JNNURM buses). Now KSRTC is treating these buses, as if they own them. How else will you explain sunday’s decision to operate an intra city Volvo bus to Palakkad. Feeling genuinely sorry for those passengers who were forced to travel to Bangalore by this bus. WIsh they hired some luxury bus/AC bus from any private operator, instead(admit that it will end up in bigger controversies & corruption, still…)
I feel very sorry for those passengers who got troubled by booking in this service. The Karnataka RTC is going ahead with top gear to get the service more comfortable but Kerala RTC is in the reverse top gear to get the service more worst. Means the Karnataka RTC is moving on the positive side of the number line and our Kerala RTC in the opposite direction of it
