Kerala Kaumudi has reported an article about the worse operation of KSRTC buses from Guruvayoor depot towards Northern parts of Kerala. The article clearly mention about the less number of services operating from Guruvayoor towards Kozhikkode and other northern cities. It also says that, KSRTC is operating all its services in Ernakulam-Guruvayoor route which is to compete with private buses causing lakhs of revenue loss.

ഗുരുവായൂര്: ഗുരുവായൂരില് നിന്ന് കോഴിക്കോട് ഭാഗത്തേക്ക് ആവശ്യത്തിന് ബസുകളില്ലാത്തത് മൂലം യാത്രക്കാര് വലയുന്നു. എറണാകുളത്തേക്ക് ബസുകള് ഇടയ്ക്കിടെയുണ്ടെങ്കിലും കോഴിക്കോട്ടേക്ക് സര്വീസ് നടത്തുന്നത് കേവലം ഒരു ബസ് മാത്രം. ഇത്തരത്തില് അശാസ്ത്രീയമായ ബസ് റൂട്ട് നിര്ണ്ണയം മൂലം ഗുരുവായൂര് കെ.എസ്.ആര്.ടി.സി ഡിപ്പോയ്ക്ക് നഷ്ടം ലക്ഷങ്ങളാണ്.
പ്രതിദിനം ഉച്ചയ്ക്ക് ഒന്നരയ്ക്കുള്ള ഒരൊറ്റ സര്വീസാണ് കോഴിക്കോട്ടേയ്ക്ക് നിലവിലുള്ളത്. വടക്കന് ജില്ലകളില് നിന്നും ക്ഷേത്രദര്ശനത്തിനെത്തുന്നവരടക്കം നൂറുകണക്കിന് പേര് ബസില്ലാതെ ഗുരുവായൂരില് വലയാറുണ്ട്. കെ.എസ്.ആര്.ടി.സിയുടെ ഈ നിലപാട് മൂലം ഗുരുവായൂര്-കോഴിക്കോട് റൂട്ട് ഇന്ന് സ്വകാര്യ ബസ്സുകളുടെ കുത്തകയായി മാറിയിരിക്കുകയാണ്.
അതേസമയം രണ്ടും മൂന്നും മിനിട്ട് ഇടവിട്ടാണ് എറണാകുളത്തേക്ക് കെ.എസ്.ആര്.ടി.സി സര്വീസ് നടത്തുന്നത്. ഗുരുവായൂര് ഡിപ്പോയില് നിന്നുള്ള ബസ്സുകള്ക്ക് പുറമെ എറണാകുളം, പറവൂര്, കൊടുങ്ങല്ലൂര് ഡിപ്പോകളില് നിന്നുള്ള ബസ്സുകള് വേറെയുമുണ്ട്. ഗുരുവായൂരില് നിന്നും ഇത്രത്തോള
