കെ എസ് ആര് ടി സിയുടെ മുഖം മാറ്റിക്കൊണ്ട് നിരത്തിലിറക്കിയ ഹൈടെക് ബസ്സുകളുടെ അവസ്ഥ കണ്ടോ?
ഹൈടെക് ബസ്സുകളില് യാത്രക്കാര് കയറുവാന് മടിക്കുന്നു എന്നത് അതിന് ലഭിക്കുന്ന കളക്ഷന് നോക്കിയാല് തന്നെ മതിയാകും. ഇറക്കിയ സമയത്ത് നല്ല രീതിയില് ഓടിയിരുന്നെങ്കിലും ബോഡി നിര്മ്മിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നതിന്റെ നിലവാരം വളരെ മോശമായതിനാല് വണ്ടികള് പെട്ടെന്ന് തന്നെ ചവറു പരിവമായി.
സ്വന്തം വര്ക്ഷോപ്പില് നമ്മുടെ തന്നെ തൊഴിലാളികള് പണിയുന്ന വണ്ടികളല്ലേ ഇതിലും ഭേദം?

KaSRTC hitech and KeSRTC hitech cannot be compared because KaSRTC always built their Hitech bus in India’s no 1 bus body builders like prakash kannappa and Veera instead of Harsha, Popular and other parties…. Also if you look their intra state express buses.. the design is different than hitech with less body weight and more ground clearence….. At the same time what keSRTC had done… They made buses in units like Popular, Harsha with design which is not good for Kerala roads, with less ground clearence and more body weight…

As you said both harsha and popular are not good, same way I can say the Kesrtc bus body also not much good. The design is sometimes too bad.tell me what is the differnce between (in leg space)our new express and old hightech.At least bangalore bus they can avaoid this killing 3 seat arrangement.5 kilometer oodunna businum 500 kilomter odunna businum orai seat design koduthavanau nobel sammanam kodukkanam.

Ksrtc should think to out source its inter state permit buses to soem professionals..If they r not willing to give it to out side, why don’t they think about some professional in kerala like OJes,kondody air craft,Yatra etc
I agree with you on comments about express buses runs to bangalore..Seating should be in 2*2 configuration with semi sleepper seats..
But when come to our super deluxe AIR buses, i feel comfort journey.( I am frequent traveller in TVLA deluxe which is maintained well, Also drivers are excellent).
The comfortness comes with the condition of bus as well as how they drive the vehicle.. Last time i travelled in KTM deluxe. The journey was horrible becuase the drivers were not even slowing down when there is hump or some gutters.. But return back by TVLA deluxe where the drivers slowly drives the vehicle in bad roads(between tsr and palakkad) and shows their speed in good roads….
. But the fact is that 90% of the super deluxes buses are not maintained well. If the super deluxe buses are maintained well, we can have the comfort journey.( Agreeing that the style of super deluxe buses are not upto other other buses which are built by proffessionals..) I also strongly beleive that proffessionals should be there at top of KeSRTC.. Once T P Senkumar also said this..

വളരെ വ്യത്യസ്തമായ എല്ലാ പരിതസ്ഥിതിയിലും, ഇന്ത്യയിലും വിദേശത്തും ടാറ്റ ബസുകള് ഓടുന്നു. സ്പെസിഫികെഷനും ടെക്നോളജിയും ടാറ്റയുടെത് ആധുനികം ആണ്. ഇന്ത്യ മുഴുവന് ഇരുമ്പ് കൂടില് നിന്ന് ബസ് എന്ന് വിളിക്കാവുന്ന തരത്തിലുള്ള കോച്ചുകളിലേക്ക് മാറുന്നു. നമ്മുടെ നാട്ടുകാര്ക്ക്ു മാത്രം മുന്വിതധികളില് നിന്ന് മോചനമില്ല. ടാറ്റ കൊള്ളില്ല, എടപ്പാള് ആണ് ലോകത്തിലെ ഏറ്റവും മോഡേണ് കോച്ച് നിര്മാകണ യൂണിറ്റ്..ഗ്ലാസ്, ഷട്ടര് ഒന്നും അല്ല, സൈഡില് തുണി തൂക്കുന്നത് ആണ് നല്ലത് …കഷ്ടം!! ( manintenance ചെയ്യാതെ ഓടുന്ന ഒരു വണ്ടിയും ഇത് വരെ കണ്ടു പിടിച്ചിട്ടില്ല- അതിനു പകരം വാചകം കൊണ്ട് വണ്ടി ഓടില്ല)i

Don’t say marcopolo its a brazilian product,globus,hippanso,ivico all are having their own specilaity in foreign countries..TATA is like an asembly unit,getting technology and parts from out side,unit and and make a sticker of TATA

Yes.. The hitech buses which intriduced were very bad one.. Just look the coolection of Hitech and Venad buses in ktm-kozhencherry chain service. In that Venad buses earns good collection while people don’t like to travel with Hitech.
in pta-kzry-aranmula-cgnr route also,cgnr depot operates chain wit hitech(rt 105,65) buses and venad(only2 rac983&984).pta depot got a dozen hitech buses.i tink the deisel consumption of hitech buses r so high.tvla depot also hav more than 7hitechs.most buses of alp-edva-tvla chain r such buses.plr depots uses such ones for plr-mkym/kjply chain service.pta ,tvla and plr depots hav convertd some hitech to venad by changing paint .
The body weight of Hitech is very high and the ground clearence is very low..Also vibration is very high inside Hitech Bus. So people won’t feel comfort journey and hence they avoid these Hitech buses.
To be frank, Irizar-TVS built initial buses were an exception and a class apart, unlike the later ones built by unprofessional local body builder in Kerala and AP. The root cause of failure of these type of buses were poor maintenance and decision to give orders to local body builders.
in ktm-mlpy-kzry route,mlpy depot operates 7hitech buses.pasengers dnt like to travel in tat.the look itself make people go away frm using tat.tvla and mlpy depots do experimental body works which make hi-tech buses a komali look.also most of them hav scrap look and vibrations wit large sounds.pta have converted rt313 to venad.tis also hav ugly look.
I think they converted every glass window to shutter so that vibration effect will be reduced… Also they removed the door ( which is very difficult to close and open) from the bus…

How do u compare an high tech bus with the presently built ksrtc’s own body. High tech buses were released during ganesh kumar’s time. Look back @ how many years has passed after he stepped down. Nearly a decade. Still Im happy to see high tech are atleast on roads now. There is no doubt that Spanish based irizar collobarated with TVS buses are way ahead in competition than the presently built ksrtc’s own body . Only Ksrtc fans can accept these kind of present buses @ ksrtc. Again I saw someone mentioning that these builders are not buidling body for kerala road conditions. A bus is built to sustain mostly all the road conditions , it doesnot mean only kerla/haryana etc. How r volvo/merc/isuzu/scania sustaining here- are they building buses for localised usage. The real problem cannot be pertained only with the maintenance . The volvos and mercs are a single integrated body unit ie. it integrates with chassis whereas the AL/TATA buses are chassis- assembled by boltings,weldings etc. So when there are frequent vibrations due to continous run the bolts and nuts loosen up. If we check into the minute detail of the bus ( for eg: washers) we are just using the spring loaded type or the normal ring ones. This may have the tendency of loosening up due to repeated undamped loads. In branded companies – the other type of washers are used. for eg.(http://www.nord-lock.com/default.asp?url=2.16.37). So I have gone into the minute details now. There is a difference in the smallest part also. U feel the quality only because of these kind of quality parts r embedded into these buses. So I dont think KSRTc can reach this mark atleast in the next decade unless otherwise they use branded stuffs..
HItech buses were introduced between 2003 and 2006. So the age should be between 6 and 9 Years depending on the date of commissioning.
They are not at all suitable for interior routes / by routes which is a fact.
In ATL, there are better TP series buses than the Hitech Fleet. I am not saying the non HItech buses of KSRTC before 2003 and after 2006 are better looking and better quality vehicles. But those were suitable for KSRTC’s needs. Hi Tech buses, in their original form, where definitely far far better looking. But post 2006, KSRTC opted for cheap looking grills, front design etc.
Suhrithukkale, we can say it is because of cheap maintenance records of KSRTC that that hitech buses are now suffering. But unfortunately, KSRTC still continues with the same track record. There should be a reason for the same and it has to be cured – which is a whole different topic
The current buses (post 2006) can definitely be maintained by KSRTC in a better way compared to Hitech buses, because of the way KSRTC is equipped.
No Hi-tech buses of KSRTC lived the life span of 15 Years yet… But there are ample number of buses built by KSRTC before 1996 which lived the full life span successfully without rebuilts. It means the KSRTC built bus bodies proved better for KSRTC – might not be for others.
