ആര് ശ്രമിച്ചാലും കെ.എസ്.ആര്.ടി.സി നന്നാകില്ലെന്ന് മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി ഉമ്മന്ചാണ്ടി. ശിവകുമാര് ശ്രമിച്ചു; പിന്നീട് ആര്യാടനും. കെ.എസ്.ആര്.ടി.സിയുടെ സാമ്പത്തികപ്രശ്നങ്ങള് അവരെ മാത്രമല്ല മറ്റുള്ളവരെയും ബാധിക്കും. കോര്പറേഷനില് സൗജന്യ പാസുകള് ഏറെയാണ്. സാമൂഹിക പ്രതിബദ്ധതയോടെ പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കുമ്പോള് നഷ്ടത്തോടെ മാത്രമേ പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കാനാകൂ. കെ.എസ്.ആര്.ടി.സി വെള്ളാനയാണെന്ന് പറഞ്ഞാല് യോജിക്കാനാവില്ല. നമ്മളെല്ലാം അങ്ങനെയാക്കിയതാണ്. കെ.ടി.ഡി.എഫ്.സിയുടെ നിക്ഷേപ പദ്ധതിയായ ‘സല്യൂട്ട്’ ഉദ്ഘാടനം ചെയ്യുകയായിരുന്നു മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി.

‘രക്ഷിക്കണമെന്ന് ഡോക്ടര് മാത്രം വിചാരിച്ചിട്ട് കാര്യമില്ല, രോഗിക്കും ആ ആഗ്രഹം വേണം’ എന്ന് പറയുന്നത് കെ. എസ്. ആര്. ടി. സിയുടെ കാര്യത്തില് ആണ് തീര്ത്തും ശരി. കുത്തക റൂട്ടുകളില് കാര്യക്ഷമമായി സര്വീസ് നടത്തുകയും രാഷ്ട്രീയ സമ്മര്ദം മാത്രം പരിഗണിച്ചു തുടരുന്ന സര്വിസുകള് നിര്ത്തുകയും ഒക്കെ ചെയ്താല് തന്നെ കെ. എസ്. ആര്. ടി. സി. രക്ഷപെടാതിരിക്കുമോ? പക്ഷെ, ‘പൂച്ചയ്ക്ക് ആര് മണി കെട്ടും’ എന്നതല്ലേ യഥാര്ത്ഥ പ്രശ്നം?!

Why the govt. is bearing this huge loss. Just for feed few thousands of employees, they are looting 40 cr. of people.
Let the trade unions (all parties) run the KSRTC and share the proft. Does the Union Leaders (Who generally does not work ever) have the backbone to say and put into practice the same.

Lack of planning, mismanagement, untimely operation of services,schedules tailored to suit the convenience of employees,unwarranted involvement of trade unions etc…etc contribute for the recurring loss of KSRTC….also non-professional officers and management on top…………..
Let us hope KSRTC will function for the travelling public on day……..
