സ്വകാര്യ ബസുകള് കൂട്ടത്തോടെ സൂപ്പര്ഫാസ്റ്റാക്കി യാത്രക്കാരെ കൊള്ളയടിക്കുന്നു. കോഴിക്കോട് നിന്നും തൃശൂര്, പാലക്കാട്, കണ്ണൂര്, സുല്ത്താന് ബത്തേരി, മാനന്തവാടി തുടങ്ങിയ ദീര്ഘ ദൂര സ്വകാര്യബസുകളാണു സൂപ്പര്ഫാസ്റ്റാക്കി യാത്രക്കാരില് നിന്നും കൂടുതല് പണം വാങ്ങി സര്വീസ് നടത്തുന്നത്.
ഫാസ്റ്റ്, സൂപ്പര്ഫാസ്റ്റ് പെര്മിറ്റുകള് നിയന്ത്രിക്കണമെന്നു ഗതാഗതവകുപ്പിന്റെ ഉത്തരവ് നിലനില്ക്കുമ്പോഴാണു സ്വകാര്യ ലിമിറ്റഡ് സ്റ്റോപ്പ് ബസുകള് വ്യാപകമായി സൂപ്പര്ഫാസ്റ്റാക്കി സര്വീസ് നടത്തുന്നത്.
ജില്ലകളിലെ റീജിണല് ട്രാന്സ്പോര്ട്ട് ഓഫിസുകള്ക്കു സൂപ്പര്ഫാസ്റ്റ് പെര്മിറ്റ് കൊടുക്കാന് അധികാരമില്ല. എന്നാല് കൊച്ചിയിലെ ട്രാന്സ്പോര്ട്ട് അപ്പലേറ്റ് അഥോറിറ്റിയില് നിന്നുമാണ് കോഴിക്കോട് സൂപ്പര്ഫാസ്റ്റായി സര്വീസ് നടത്തുന്ന മിക്ക പ്രൈവറ്റ് ബസുകളും പെര്മിറ്റ് സംഘടിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്.
കോഴിക്കോട്, കണ്ണൂര്, മലപ്പുറം ജില്ലകളിലായി അമ്പതിലധികം സ്വകാര്യ ബസുകളാണിപ്പോള് സൂപ്പര്ഫാസ്റ്റായി സര്വീസ് തുടരുന്നത്.
150 കിലോമീറ്ററില് കൂടുതല് സര്വീസ് ദൂരമുള്ള ബസുകള്ക്കേ സൂപ്പര്ഫാസ്റ്റ് പെര്മിറ്റ് നല്കാവൂയെന്നു നിര്ദേശമുണ്ടെങ്കിലും ഇതെല്ലാം പലയിടങ്ങളിലും ലംഘിക്കപ്പെട്ടിട്ടുണ്ട്. നൂറു കിലോമീറ്റര് ദൂരമുള്ള കോഴിക്കോട് ഗുരുവായൂര് റൂട്ടിലും 125 കിലോമീറ്റര് ദൂരമുള്ള കോഴിക്കോട് -തൃശൂര് റൂട്ടിലും സൂപ്പര്ഫാസ്റ്റ് ബസുകള് വ്യാപകമായി സര്വീസ് നടത്തുന്നുണ്ട്. ലിമിറ്റഡ് സ്റ്റോപ്പ് ബസുകളില് മിനിമം ചാര്ജ് അഞ്ചു രൂപ നല്കേണ്ടി വരുമ്പോള് സൂപ്പര്ഫാസ്റ്റില് മിനിമം ചാര്ജ് 10 രൂപയാണ്.
ഓര്ഡിനറി ബസുകള് കുറഞ്ഞ റൂട്ടിലാണു സൂപ്പര്ഫാസ്റ്റ് ബസുകള് യാത്രക്കാര്ക്കു ദുരിതമാകുന്നത്. അടുത്ത സ്റ്റോപ്പിലേക്കുള്ള യാത്രക്കു പോലും പത്തു രൂപ നല്കി സൂപ്പര്ഫാസ്റ്റ് ബസില് കയറേണ്ട അവസ്ഥയിലാണു യാത്രക്കാര്.
സൂപ്പര്ഫാസ്റ്റ് ബസുകള്ക്കു നിശ്ചിത സ്റ്റോപ്പുകള് പെര്മിറ്റില് അനുവദിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടെങ്കിലും യാത്രക്കാര് കുറവാകുമ്പോള് എല്ലാ സ്റ്റോപ്പിലും നിര്ത്തി യാത്രക്കാരില് കയറ്റുന്നതായാണു പരാതി.
ഇത്തരം സന്ദര്ഭങ്ങളില് ബസില് ചാര്ജിന്റെ കാര്യത്തില് യാത്രക്കാരും ബസ് ജീവനക്കാരും തമ്മില് വാക്കേറ്റവും പതിവാണ്. സ്വകാര്യ സൂപ്പര്ഫാസ്റ്റ് ബസുകളില് വിദ്യാര്ഥികള്ക്കു സൗജന്യനിരക്കില് യാത്ര അനുവദിക്കാത്തത് വിദ്യാര്ഥികളെയും വലയ്ക്കുന്നു.

Give permits to KSRTC only for routes having more than 100km. For pvt bus operators, only give ordinary permits for shorter routs. Issue the LS,Fast and Express permits only to KSRTC
Until late 2011 i regularly travelled in Kozhikode – Guruvayoor – North Paravur route on buses such as Parasuram (N.Parur – S. Bathery) which was an AC bus with very good ride comfort and they used to charge Superfast charges. If the bus operator is giving superior comfort levels such as AC, Air Suspension, Mobile Charging Units( good to have feature), LCD TV etc then I feel higher ticket cost ( Super fast cost) is justified. Also these guys used to change the bus every 3 years which enhanced the safety of passengers…I have seen short distance passengers from Kozhikkode crowding in these buses which often led long distance passengers to stand for upto places like Guruvayoor.. So a high minimum charge is justified for such long distance buses to reduce crowding.. I feel people just make a hue and cry for each and everything without really contemplating what they are getting…
This parasuram charged only FP charge from KKD- Kalpatta. I traveled in it manier times… Pinne Punalur TVM, PTA TVM, TVLA TVM, CGNR TVM, ADR TVM ellam 150 km il thazheyanu dooram.. ee routil ellam KSRTC SF odikkunnunde…..
Nilambur-Mananthavady Nushri ord.l/s converted as LSFP to avoid students.In Kuttiady-Kozhikode route (47 Kms)all ordinary buses converted as L/S Ord and LSFP violating Motor vehicle Act.Passengers travelling.
(in between fare stages)in this route exercise great difficulties.
consider this situation too,how too travel from kannur to thrissur in a ls bus,superfast is better,and from kannur to kozhikode time for a super fast is 2.00 or 1.30 hours and ls is2.45 or 3.00 hours,please understand the problems of passengers travelling long distances,also there are lot of local buses from kannur to thalasseri,thalassery to vadakara,vadakar a to kozhikode,and also lot of ls buses from kannu r to kozhikode,and making some buses superfast what is the problem with the students,after 3 or 5 minutes another bus will be available,Think this also(A bus running from kannur to eranakulam will hire students or full ticket passaengers)i f it is giving prefarance to students and bus is running as a limited stop,there will be only student passengers,
And aslo understood one thing too pasenegers travelling long distance are hiring superfast buses,which can take lesss time s compered to trains in night,according to the above newsthese buses runs as ls in day and in night as superfast,this is a foolish news,the most of them who are commenting are travelling only by train and not by bus,and even some of them dont know what a superfast is,,,,now the raods are heavily crowded and in case of b us jouney,hiring superfast or fast or superexpress can only save time.and ksrtc is running also these,the why cant private buses too do the same….,
what manu commented is exactly right,people dont hire these buses and saying they want every thing,tehy are only thinking of their cureent travell situations,only some buses from kuttyadi to kozhikode are fast buses,in modern world,all are thinking reach there destination as dast as they could,understood these all, bec i used to hire buses for long distances,pls understood the situation of long distance travelling pasengers tooo?
And it is best too run fast buse between 40 or 50kms,jksrtc is doing that,then why cant private doo,is this foolih people saying private buse sare only for students,and ksrtc is only for full charge passengers,
friends you should understood these problems while travelling from kannur to kozhikode,or kozhikode t thrissur,bec iam hiring buses for these route,even from trivandrum to kannur iam travelling by bus,just imagine the situation of a paassenger travelling in a ls bus which take 3.00 hours from kannur to kozhikode and ksrtc TT3.30 hours,and thes esuperfast take only 1.30 hours and does not stops in vadakara bus stand too more thatn 3.00 minutes,my opinion is more superfast buses are required,Rajesh,Teecee,Rakesh,imperial,Dhanya,Gardens,keerthamna,Thamarai,Bhavan,Karnan,Geetha,kabani,napeolean,sagara,are the only buses running as superfast,and there are more than 80 ls buses in this route,i dont support that news,These superfast buses are always successfull,we can see people avoiding ls busess and entering super fast buses from kozhikode and kannur busstands
An Example is Rajesh is at 2.10 pm from kozhikode,and bus will be in the stand at 1.45 pm or 1.50pm and there are 5 more buse s infront of this,but people will enter in Rajesh and rajesh reach infront of these 5 buses while reaching kannur,

The higher system like Super Fast or FP in private sector is highly effective and is the need of the hour. However such permits should be issued by authorities sensibly,taking into account the frequency of such services and short distance commuters.
The move to withdraw the above services or to take over by KSRTC is totally a foolish one.The commuters across IRITTY-KANNUR/THALASSERY will suffer if such system
is introduced and is obvious.All other buses are LS by name,stop every nook and corner ,waste significant time of a commuter.Or,let the authority fix or limit the stops of LS buses for comfort.
