Auto Drivers Harassing Uber Taxi & Passenger in Kochi, Viral Video
Vidya Gopalakrishnan, A native of Kakkanad, Kochi has booked an Uber Taxi cab from Ernakulam to Kakkanad. The cab came within the stipulated time and took her from the destination. Very soon, some of the so-called auto drivers look like local goondas approached the taxi and started abusing the driver and her.
According to them, online taxi’s are illegal, and they are not supposed to pick passengers from their area. Vidya was recording all these on her mobile phone, and you can see the video here.
I was wondering, what is it was a man rather than women? How can they claim that online taxi services are illegal? It is entirely the passengers choice on how should he/she travel? How can someone compel us that you have to travel only by auto that too by paying high fares?
