Former minister and senior Congress leader K P Noorudheen passed away here on Sunday evening. He was 77. His end came at a private hospital in Kozhikode.

Noorudheen was undergoing treatment after he suffered a fall. Later, he was shifted to ICU following a cerebral hemorrhage and his condition took a turn for the worse on Sunday evening.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Noorudheen represented Peravoor constituency in Kerala Assembly for five consecutive terms. He was elected to the assembly for the fort time in 1977 and was a member of K Karunakran ministry during 1982-87.

He also served as the chairman of Coir Marketing Federation and KSFE. He is survived by wife Asma and four children.

His mortal remains will be laid to rest at Puthiyangadi Juma Masjid at 4 pm on Monday.
