KSRTC has suggested to passengers from state to be cautious on choosing the two days for travelling to Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. KSRTC managing director Antony Chacko told that a high-level discussion was held at Bangalore on Thursday in which it was decided to allow all KSRTC buses to pass into the state by noon before the verdict is pronounced. “We are pushing things in such a way to ensure that none of our buses would be held back in other states on the day,” he said.

Many of the KSRTC officials are of the opinion that it is unsafe to park the buses even inside the bus stand in Bangalore in such tensed situations. KSRTC Kozhikode zonal officer A. Safarullah said KSRTC will decide on Tuesday on plying the buses once the verdict was delivered. Mr Safarullah said KSRTC operated 45 services and 20 of them have resumed operation on Thursday itself. “The rest started on Friday,” he said. Nine services operating through the Salem sector have been diverted through Mysore. KSRTC has opened two counters at the main terminal at Satellite station and another at Shanthinagar from Thursday. It is operating 13 Onam special services to meet passenger demand.
