Age ain’t nothing but a number. Age is never a barrier to achieve our ambitions. Numerous examples from history demonstrate that success has no age limit. Now a Malayalee has proven yet again that at any age you can achieve anything you want to be. However, its the urge or craving in one that gets him where he want to be. The more the urge or the craving the faster one reaches his milestone.

Luka Joseph, aged 64, an employee with the KSRTC retired from the service and decided to do something which he wanted do always in life. His ambition to become a lawyer never materialised as life’s travails took in a different direction. But he never gave up his dream to attain the LLB even when he was in his 60s.

 

He completed his LLB from the Kozhikode Government Law College and on February 15, 2015 he enrolled with the Kerala High Court where he will practise as advocate for rest of his life.

Luka Joseph joined KSRTC when he was doing his degree at the Mannanam KE College and thus missed out his opportunity to complete his degree course. During his time with KSRTC he completed his degree through the correspondence course.

Luka Joseph is also an active social activist who stands for the rights of democracy and thus he had become an eyesore of several top power brokers.Luka Joseph was elected as the secretary of the Janashakthi organisation, launched by Alphonse Kannanthanam to fight corruption.

He was also the chief editor of the Lekhanam magazine published from Kozhikode.Luka Joseph is currently serving as an executive member at the state level for “Title editors and publishers organisation”, which is an organisation representing small and medium publishers in Kerala.

He hails from Morrthiyil family Athirampuzha in Kottayam. Luca Jacob’s wife is Leelama Thomas, a retired teacher and has two children. Elder son is Linuluke Joseph, who is working in the UK alongwith his wife Mrs Riah Raju.Younger son Titue Luke is working in Calicut.
